Since Taylor Electric was formed over 81 years ago, many things have changed with the advancement of technology. One of these improvements is the development of the outage map allowing members to see the current status of outages plotted on a map of the service area. Accessible from the Taylor Electric website, the outage map is a true example of the cooperative progress.
The outage map continues to change as technology at the cooperative improves. Recently undergoing a redesign, the map now features a new look and several new features including:
- Chart displaying the number of meters out over the past 24 hours.
- Three different map views.
- The ability to overlay the weather radar over the outage map.
The outage map can be viewed and accessed by members from the outage tab on the Taylor Electric home page. Take a look now and the next time you experience an outage to see some of the progress first hand.
